It’s here! It’s finally here! My first read-a-thon to ever participate in. I’m hoping that this becomes something that I enjoy being a part of as there are so many other bibliophiles that enjoy them too! Despite this being a super casual read-a-thon, I still have to work full-time all week, so I’ll be hitting up the audiobooks during those hours of my day.
Like many of us, I’m sure, I don’t tend to read my TBR list in any particular order. We’re all a bit moody when it comes to picking our next read, I think that’s safe to say. But, for this week, I’m hoping to tackle a few books that I’ve been sitting on for a while. In a perfect world, I’d actually sit down and finish all the books I’m “currently reading”, but we all know that isn’t going to happen.
I’ve started off today with listening to The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison, in a futile attempt to get at least one of her books done by the end of what should have been my summer of Toni Morrison. I found all of her books on audio through Scribd and while I love audiobooks they sometimes take me a while to get through as I tend to be behind on my podcast listening and switch back and forth between them.
I’m also hoping to finish Gotham City Sirens: Book One and Grey by the end of today that way I can start my reread of Chamber of Secrets.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling
FanGirl by Rainbow Rowell
Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
The Only Ones by Carola Dibbell
I’m definitely going to have trouble getting through all of these books and probably won’t come anywhere close given what I still have to finish. I’m also hoping to knock out another BOTNS Summer Bingo slot after reading Chamber of Secrets, so whatever square I pull from my handy dandy Bingo mason jar may change this list.
