Bout of Books: Day One

Today is the first day of Bout of Books! *cue: fireworks, streamers and the fanfare* This is my second Bout of Books and I’m excited to do a little bit better than I did last year. Of course, last year I also battled a internet shortage, so I’m going to try to avoid that…

I’m going to try to cover a few things in tonight’s post since I delayed writing it to participate in the AWESOME twitter chat earlier tonight. It was so much fun to chat with everyone that could participate. It was a bit intense though, I’m not going to lie. I loved it.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
Hunger Makes Me a Modern Girl by Carrie Brownstein
My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante

I started The Name of the Wind a little bit ago and have been slacking, I’m still have a huge chunk of the book left to read.

My Goals

  1. Participate in as many challenges as possible
  2. Participate in at least one of the two Twitter chats
  3. Finish two books
  4. Post my daily updates
  5. How so much fun it hurts

Today’s Challenge

Introduce yourself on Twitter, Instagram, or on this post using six words, no more, no less. Use the hashtags #boutofbooks and #insixwords

 Reading Update

I have slacked SO HARD today. I had a really busy day at work and mostly listened to my huge library of backdated podcasts instead of audiobooks like usual. I did manage to read a tiny bit though.

Happy Day One of #BoutofBooks!
