Bout of Books 17

It’s time for another round of Bout of Books! In my head, I’m yelling that over the PA of a rock concert and the crowd goes absolutely mental, screaming their heads off in response. The reality is, it’s one in the morning and my poor husband is passed out asleep next to me, probably hating me internally for the light coming from my laptop. But hey! It’s technically freaking Friday! Woo!

This will be my second time participating in a Bout of Books and I’m really excited. It’s been a really rough reading year for me so far and since there seems to be no scientist willing to work on creating a real life time turner for me anytime soon (ha time jokes), Bout of Books is really great for me because of how easy going of a read-a-thon it is. If you’re like me and you find yourself sneaking books everywhere with you despite how much your friends and family hate and just don’t understand why you feel the need to read, right now, in the middle of your cousin’s dance recital, this is the read-a-thon for you! Though, also, I recommend that you continue to do you and bring books everywhere because nobody loves you and understands you more than your books and fellow bibliophiles. Heard.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 22nd and runs through Sunday, August 28th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 17 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team
